These are three pieces I did for my final in 117 B this semester. The project was, the Adams family goes to visit their rich relatives that are ashamed to be ghouls. We were suppose to design an exterior, and two interiors of the kids rooms. There's still stuff I need to fix. Suggestions are always welcome :)

Advance 117:Fish Project

This is some of the stuff turned in for my advance 117 class. Our project was to design this RV that this old man named Sam lived in. The RV was suppose to be filled with aquatic life, a place he calls his home, and the circus that he works at was something he had grown to hate. The direction I took with the story was, Sam was mourning the loss of his wife that died in accident in one of their acts. His RV is filled with fish tanks and such because that was his wives obsession. I designed the inside and outside RV, a ticket booth, and some props. The props and comps that I designed were not nearly as finished as these. I am planning going back in and tweaking these and finishing the props. Post your feed back if you have any :)

here are three paintings! the last one is today, the second one is yesterdays, and the last one is the day before yesterdays! the bolt one is from the art of bolt, it was about a 45 minuate, the other two is from a photo and they are both 1hour studies. Crit away! :)

The first speed paint was from another monster inks concept art! the second one is of family member sleeping on the couch. That one was very quick, don't like it as much and values are not good.

Fell behind with the speed paintings, but now I am trying to get back on them. These are all 30 minute studies. the first three are color copy studies from the art of monster inc! :) I thought it would be a good idea to study and try to copy two big studies that I liked, and do a mini study of their color script. I feel like i really helped with composition, and also colors I rarely use. The last one is from my Friend Lou's photo album! :) Crit away!

Here's a 30 minute speed painting from a movie, I think it's from Benjamin Buttons, I had one saved that I by luck found and decided to paint. I wanted to see how I would do on a 30 minute one, and it feels like I am able to put things down a lot more quicker. Ill update another one for today in a bit.

Hi! missed yesterday, so I did two today. The first one is from photo of my friends, I wanted to try a different approach. I used opacity on full with not pressure sensitivity, I wanted to get shapes down and values. the second one is from the movie 500 days of summer, My boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to paint one of the scenes as a study. I don't really like these studies :-/ was a bit rushed from family chaos. Bleh. Anyway, crit.

another picture from my friends stash. I am really disappointed with how this turned out. All my shapes are off, perspective is wonky, edges, etc..its a mess T_T I wanted to challenge myself, + I really love that photo, and the story in it...but what a crummy turn out. Any advice on critique is highly appreciated.

I was in such a rush today to go sketching that I lost my focus and actually ended in a much more earlier time then an hour. Lesson learned, do speed paintings when I am in no rush. Anywho, this is from another photo of my friends!

Today I felt like painting the hallway in my house for the one hour study. Edges are a bit better, colors are a bit too muddy I am thinking, and perspective is wonky in some areas more then others. If anyone has anything to add, or suggestions etc, post!

Another piece for Baron. The topic was if we had a time machine where would we go, I chose the 1960s when there wasn't as much apathy from the youth as there is now. My windows need fixing in this and some of the faces.

This is my illustration for Baron's class. It's based on character designs we created by using our own character traits, good and bad. With that, we created a world and story for it. This is Luna, my main character. I want to revisit this at some point and the characters. Hopefully over the summer.

Painting Studies

I experienced a dry period where I was not happy with anything I would draw or paint and I did not feel like posting anything. Somehow I've managed to get over that hurtle. Posting is still something I am struggling a bit with, but I am powering through it even more and I am going to do my best to update this blog with Vis dev work. These are three studies I had to do for my Vis Dev class. The perspective and painting was frustrating but the most enjoyable thing I've done in awhile. There are still plenty of issues with these paintings, but I am proud of the fact that they show an improvement from where I was before.

the toaster is my favorite.

Anyway, bring on the creativity!

I've been having a very hard time trying to get motivation/inspiration to draw anything for myself. Not knowing what to draw and feeling as if I need more practice before drawing something of my own have been some thoughts I have been ruminating. Until, just a few days ago, a friend that I was recently introduced to, posted some new songs of his. Color Rendering Final + Comps

Hello! it's taken me awhile to update but here's my color rendering from 113 A. Lots of things that can be improved upon, but that's ok, I learned from it and that's the important part. I've included some comps that I liked and was considering at the time of doing the lower left one was one of my favorite ones. however I ended up going for the original colors instead.

Ta-daa! Here is my Black and white rendering. I Learned SO much about how to use paint through this assignment, as well as seeing value way better. I still need to work on my gradation, soft/hard edges. But, here it is, I am really proud of this painting so far, and I want to go back in and fix the parts that I am disatisfied with, when time allows me to. It was a really fun assignment, I am looking forward to the color one now.

Reversal/Some Figs

Mini update! been super busy with the Reversal project which was turned in finally! The Reversal took me 70 hours, probably. It was the hardest project I have done for Johns class. I didn't get my shapes in right till the weekend before it was due, and didn't start the rendering till then. The head shape is a bit off, It's suppose to be more tilted, and the edges could be pushed more. I am not really satisfied with it, but I am glad I got up to this stage. I am going to do another one over break. Also, here are a few Figure drawings i did recently that I actually liked; the last one is my favorite, that's the point where I just decided to have some fun . I still need a lot work...any suggestions are welcomed!
